The Office of Marketing and Communications organizes and directs the promotion of Maryland Day, the University of Maryland’s largest community outreach event. We manage scores of campus partners who provide activities, performances and educational outreach, we secure sponsorships and work with a variety of vendors, and we work directly with Baltimore and D.C. media organizations to preview the best of Maryland Day. We created the Maryland Day visual identity, which appears in the program, website, mailer and much more. The efforts culminate in attracting tens of thousands of visitors from across the region each year.

A little—or a lot of—wind didn’t stop an estimated 86,000-plus people from enjoying a day of learning and discovery at Saturday’s Maryland Day, the 21st annual celebration of all things UMD.
